The very low interest credit cards are mainly available for people and businesses with good enough credit to qualify for one. The differences in what credit card companies are charging for interest rates are alarming. Low interest credit cards are generally considered to be fewer than 10% interest rate. High interest credit cards can soar to over 30% in some cases. You need to be well informed of just how many credit card opportunities are available to you before making a selection.

Keeping the low interest rate over the lifetime of your account is easy if you play by the credit card company’s rules. All payments must be paid on time. No late payments will be tolerated by the credit card company. They will take away that low interest credit card and turn it into a default rate interest. This is usually the highest possible interest rate that they can charge you by law, around 30%. Yes that’s right 30% is the average default rate. Credit card companies can do this even if the payment that you make late isn’t made to them. It can be any other bill that you have paid late on. If it is reported to the credit bureaus, chances are, your credit card company will find out about it and send you a notice of change in terms or something similar.

Finding a low interest credit card that you qualify for will benefit you in many ways. Most credit cards come with a very low to 0% introductory rate for balance transfers. This can potentially save you thousands of dollars over the life of your introductory period. If you transfer a balance from a credit card that has a high interest rate, the amount you pay will come directly off of the balance and no additional interest will be charged during the introductory period. You may even be able to pay off your debt completely with a low interest credit card that has a 0% introductory period. Divide the amount that you transferred by the number of months they allow for the introductory period . This will be the dollar amount it will take for each monthly payment to have it completely paid in full when your introductory period is over.

If you need a low interest credit card because you are thinking of making a big purchase that you want to pay off over a period of time, consider finding a card with an introductory rate on purchases made within a certain timeframe. You might even get lucky and find a 0% on purchases. This lets you buy the item now and pay for it with no interest at all. They allow you to borrow money for free under certain conditions.

Whether you have a home business that you work alone or you have a larger company with several employees, a business credit card can be a valuable asset. It’s a way to keep your business and personal expenses separate – vital for bookkeeping and taxes! But there are more benefits as well.

You probably have a credit score of your own. Your business needs one too. Having a credit card for your business allows it to build up a score.

A business credit card greatly simplifies how you spend for your business. You won’t have to rely on writing out checks in advance for everything, and you can authorize trusted employees to make necessary purchases on the business credit card. While these obviously need to be well tracked, it saves you the hassle of coping with checks.

The benefit to your bookkeeping is quite clear. When you receive your statement, all purchases are there to be verified. Many credit cards offer special reporting for businesses, so that you can keep better track of your spending. Having the credit card record gives your accountant one more tool to work with.

You can also benefit from the rewards your business credit card may offer. You can earn travel, points and so forth, just as with other credit cards. While these may not be worthwhile if you carry a balance, if you pay off every month you have a definite benefit. Just make sure that you know the balance between what you would be paying in interest with and without rewards.

Company credit cards are not just for big companies. Big companies use them because they are convenient and make bookkeeping and spending easier, so that less time is wasted. Credit card companies do not require that your company be huge.

You will want to know that for a small business, your personal credit and your business credit can become intertwined. If your business has no credit history, all the company can do is look at your personal credit history to decide if your business is deserving of credit. Through the years this link may or may not become more important. If you’re a one-person business, how else are they going to be guaranteed repayment, if not by you personally?

Do not let your concerns about using a business credit card keep you from investigating them. While there is a bit of extra work in keeping up with the payments, the time you save in tracking your business spending should more than make up for this.

There’s one image of your childhood you can’t erase from your mind. At the end of every weekday, your dad follows the same coming-home-from-the-office routine. He walks through the door, drops his briefcase heavily to the floor, and trudges to the living room, grunting at anyone who has the audacity to greet him. This ritual always baffled you, but over time, you realized that you must never work for someone who could turn a kind, loving person like your dad into the Grinch.

So, because life as a humble salaried employee doesn’t appeal to you, you hatch the brilliant idea of owning your own business. Starting up your own company, however, required more work than you had imagined. The hours are long, the stress is unbelievable. Still, you persevere, and after some time, you turn a profit. You remember the image of your father at the end of the workday, and in a spurt of generosity, you reward your staff with new business credit cards.

Small Cards for Small Businesses
Small business starter credit cards are becoming chic due to the recent number of home and small businesses skyrocketing. Depending on how your company functions, you can avail of several new low-interest business credit cards for your workers, from companies such as Advanta, Chase, and Open.

Business Benefits
Each of the cards offers benefits that meet the needs of various types of employees. For example, several of the new business credit cards, such as the Advanta Platinum Business Custom Card, the Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card, and the Blue Cash for Business Credit Card boast of a 0% Introductory APR, with introductory periods ranging from 6 months to an incredible 15 months! Also, the regular APR of the new business credit cards is quite low, ranging from about 8% to 20%. Some of the cards collect no Annual Fees from their cardholders, offering a nice holiday bonus to people on your payroll. Some charge an Annual Fee while others charge an annual fee only after the first year. Credit cards that fall into the latter category include the Business Gold Rewards Card and the Business Green Rewards Card from American Express’s OPEN program.

Custom Cards
While these cards have different perks, your employees have different responsibilities, and the new business credit cards can cater to them. American Express’s JetBlue Business Credit Card is perfect for salesmen who spend more time out of the office than in it, or inspectors who must assess out-of-town operations. Use this card to get an exclusive 5% discount on JetBlue flights. Also, the card provides protection for your trips, which include Baggage Insurance, Damage Insurance, and Car Rental Loss.

For your employees who make purchases for your company, the American Express SimplyCash Business Card is the perfect plastic. This new business credit card offers cash back on office supplies, wireless services, and gas. For nearly all other purchases, they can earn 1% cash back.

Lastly, to reward your employees for all the time and effort they put in day in and out, consider the Advanta Platinum Business Card. This card can be personalized by including your company name at the card’s top. Create a sense of unity and cooperation by providing this card for your employees. This new business credit card also features a maximum credit line of $50,000, and $0 Fraud Liability.

Small businesses are the driving engine of the U.S. economy. Yet every year, many of them fail due to lack of funds. If you’re a small business owner, you know the importance of having resources available to you. Business credit cards offer the capital you need with conditions you can afford. Here’s how business credit cards can improve your financial situation as a small business owner.

Extend Your Cash Flow

Most business credit cards allow you to extend your cash flow. You can use your card to purchase supplies; then, as you sell the items or receive payments from clients, you can pay off the balance. If you do so within the grace period, your card payment will be interest-free. This allows you to purchase items without dipping into other accounts.

Keep Track of Expenses

As a small business owner, it is essential to record expenses. Business credit cards can help you keep your business purchases separate from your personal ones. Credit card statements will allow you to track expenses, report any rewards, and simplify your tax preparation.

Purchase Large Items

All businesses, especially start-up companies, have initial expenses. They also have large, unexpected costs at certain times. With a business card, you have access to an additional line of credit. This can help you get through the ups and downs of cash flow and business revenue fluctuations.

If you regularly carry a balance on your card, you can look into business credit cards that offer a low interest rate. In fact, many include a 0% APR introductory rate or low interest on initial balance transfers. By paying for items with your business credit card, you build your credit history. Doing so will provide future financial benefits for your business.

Enjoy the Rewards

Many companies attach reward programs to their business credit cards. These rewards range from cash back incentives to travel rewards. The Advanta Platinum BusinessCard with Rewards and the Platinum Business Card from American Express are just two of the many options available.

The Advanta Platinum BusinessCard with Rewards offers a choice of rebates or rewards for business purchases. The rebate program offers a 5% rebate on many business-related items, including gasoline, computers and office supplies. A 1% rebate is given for all other net purchases. The rewards program allows you to earn one point for every dollar spent with the card. These points can be exchanged for travel rewards or pre-paid bonus cards. The Advanta Platinum BusinessCard with Rewards has no annual fee and offers a 0% introductory rate on balance transfers.

The Platinum Business Card from American Express offers 0% APR for the first twelve months and no annual fee. It also includes two fee-free additional cards. With the Platinum Business Card from American Express, you can earn points toward rewards from 20 airlines, 150 hotels, and some of the biggest names in shopping and entertainment.

As a small business owner, it is important to have access to various sources of capital. Business credit cards can provide you with the funds you need at conditions you can afford. And best of all, business credit cards can earn you extra rewards. Apply online for your card today; then enjoy the financial doors it opens for your business.

A business credit card might a be good option if you are a business owner looking to streamline your accounts management. Here are some factors to consider when choosing a business credit card.

Look At The Interest Rate

One of the most important issues is the annual percentage rate (APR). This is the interest that lenders charged on any outstanding debt. The APR varies considerably between lenders, so it is worth shopping around for one that you find acceptable. You should also pay attention to the interest rate for cash withdrawals. As with personal credit cards, the APR on cash withdrawals can be very high. This is worth considering if you intend to use your business credit card to withdraw cash.

Check Out The Fees

Some business credit cards charge annual fees. These can range from around £20 to as much as £75. However, there are still some business credit cards that do not have a fee, so it is worth considering these if the other factors meet your requirements. Another fee to consider is the application fee. It may be worth searching for a credit card provider who will waive this fee.

The amount of credit you will get and the repayment period are crucial aspects for managing your business. You’ll want to get as long a grace period (interest-free period) as possible.

Business Or Personal?

Like personal credit cards, some business credit cards also offer rewards. These can be points that can be applied to purchases or useful rewards such as air miles or travel points of some sort. However, the range of rewards for personal credit cards is far greater.

Some business owners may be tempted to manage their business spending via a personal credit card, but this is best avoided for three reasons. First, the credit limit given will not match the kind of credit limit a business credit card might get. Second, the interest rates and repayment periods on business credit cards are designed to help with business cash flow. Third, if you find yourself in debt, any spending on a personal credit card is your personal liability. In comparison, spending on a business credit card is charged to the business rather than an individual.

Credit Or Charge?

Business owners also have other options for managing their finances. Some can choose debit cards. This will mean that there is no line of credit and business owners can only spend what is in the business account.

Another option is a business charge card. Like a credit card, there is often a fee for having a charge card, but there is no APR and no minimum repayment. This is because any spending on the charge card must be repaid in full at the end of the pay period.

Whichever option business owners go for, there are a number of good reasons to use a card for managing business expenses. This can be especially useful for businesses with a lot of employees as they can use a business credit card to track expenses and cut down on in-house accountancy.
